The Charity League, Inc. is a non-profit service organization dedicated to serving children with speech and hearing impairments in Alabama. Since 1992, the Charity League has raised funds specifically to provide scholarships for speech and hearing impaired high school seniors entering colleges and universities. These scholarships are named after our founding President, Virginia Cobb. The Virginia Cobb Scholarships differ in amount, and have been offered at levels ranging from $500 to $2,000.
Below is the downloadable application for the Virginia Cobb Scholarships. Mail your fully completed application to the address listed on the form. Please send complete applications, with all required attachments. Unfortunately, incomplete applications cannot be considered.
The Charity League welcomes scholarship applications from all high school seniors with speech and hearing impairments and does not discriminate on the basis of gender, race, color, religion or national / ethnic origin.
